BARDEX® I.C. - Bard
The BARDEX® I.C. indwelling urinary catheter from Bard is coated with a hydro-gel which contains ions of silver and is intended to reduce the incidence of urinary catheter infections. In this film Tom Ladds, the Showcase Project Lead at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust introduces the catheter and outlines its intended benefits. Clinical staff from The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust discuss their experiences trialling the catheter in their intensive care unit and on their wards.

Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour System - BIOQUELL®
The BIOQUELL® system uses hydrogen peroxide vapour to decontaminate side rooms, wards and medical equipment. BIOQUELL® engineer Garry Heather, working at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust explains how the process works and demonstrates how a room is prepared for decontamination. The ChloraPrep® skin decontamination system is designed to provide a gold standard skin preparation system using 2% Chlorhexidine in 70% alcohol solution in a disposable sponge.
